PRODUCTS

Active Harmonic Filter (AHF)

AHFs eliminate waveform distortions from the loads like harmonics, interharmonics and notching, by injecting in real-time in the electric power system the distorted current of same magnitude but opposite in phase. They can also work as harmonic generators for harmonic injection testing purposes.
In addition, AHFs can take care of several other power quality problems and grid ancillary services by combining different functions in a single device.
Highlights

  • Specifications from 50 A to 200 A (200-690 V) in 3- and 4-wire systems can be covered by a single module.

  • Unlimited amount of AHF modules can be connected in parallel.

  • Elimination of harmonic and interharmonic currents up to the 50th order (odd and even harmonics).

  • Instantaneous, precise & stepless power factor correction of inductive and capacitive loads.

  • Load balancing and unloading of neutral wires.

  • Capability of switching contactors or thyristor switches of detuned filter capacitor bank steps.

Static var generators (SVG)

SVGs, also known as active power factor compensators (APFC), deliver real-time inductive and capacitive reactive current providing accurate power factor correction, mitigating flicker and reducing voltage variations without the drawbacks of conventional solutions like capacitor banks or shunt reactor banks.
In addition, SVGs can take care of several other power quality problems and grid ancillary services by combining
different functions in a single device. Highlights

  • Specifications from +/-17 kvar to +/-152 kvar (200-690 V) in 3- and 4-wire systems can be covered by a single module.

  • Unlimited amount of SVG modules can be connected in parallel.

  • Instantaneous, precise & stepless power factor correction of inductive and capacitive loads.

  • Not possible to over or under compensate the system.

  • No risk of harmonic resonance.

  • Suitable for networks with harmonic distortion.

  • Capability of switching contactors or thyristor switches of detuned filter capacitor bank steps.

Active Load Balancers (ALB)

Using single-phase loads on a three-phase electric power system (connected phase-to-phase or phase-to-neutral) results in unbalanced load conditions in the system. Unbalanced currents result in unbalanced voltages and affect other loads connected at the point of common coupling.
ALBs, also known as phase balancers, can balance any unbalanced load from the supply system point of view, converting them into symmetrical three-phase active power loads. Highlights

  • Specifications from 50 A to 200 A (200-690 V) in 3- and 4-wire systems can be covered by a single module.

  • Unlimited amount of ALB modules can be connected in parallel.

  • Excellent load balancing performance for negative and zero sequence components, mitigating also neutral currents and unloading neutral wires.

  • Inherently correct displacement power factor.

  • Suitable for networks with harmonic distortion.

Hybrid var compensators (HVC)

HVCs combine the technical advantages of AHFs or SVGs with the cost-effectiveness of conventional detuned filter capacitor banks to form an economical stepless real-time compensator with a single controller. They are formed by

  • An AHF or a SVG providing symmetrical reactive power output.

  • A mechanically switched (contractor) or thyristor switched compensation device (detuned filter capacitor bank) providing asymmetrical reactive power output while optimizing costs and performance of the solution.

They can take of several power quality problems and grid ancillary services by combining different functions in a single device. Highlights

  • Specifications from -144 to +984 kvar (200-690 V) in 3- and 4-wire systems can be covered by a single AHF or SVG module.

  • Unlimited amount of AHF or SVG modules can be connected in parallel.

  • Instantaneous, precise & stepless power factor correction of inductive and capacitive loads.

  • Elimination of harmonic and interharmonic currents up to the 50th order (odd and even harmonics).

  • Load balancing and unloading of neutral wires.

  • Not possible to over or under compensate the system.

  • No risk of harmonic resonance.
